This presentation will discuss the recent AIHA publication entitled, ‘FAQ’s about Spore Trap Air Sampling for Mold by Direct Examination’. The presentation will denote the limitations of the spore trap sampling and analytical methodology, and it will answer frequently asked questions regarding the interpretation of the analytical data. There are often misunderstandings about what the sampling results mean with regards to mold remediation, mold as a health hazard, and the safety factor for individuals in the home or workplace where mold is present. This presentation will address these misunderstandings and provide guidance to practitioners and remediators regarding spore trap sampling.
