With mold remediation being seen as a separate subset of the restoration industry for over 20 years, many professionals are well-versed in the basics of proper removal of fungal contaminants. Still, there are certain projects where the mold remediation is complicated by other factors. Great care must be taken to ensure that the work is completed within the standard of care while also complying with other significant safety constraints. This presentation describes one of those projects where the mold remediation was completed inside an air traffic control tower. In addition to the descriptions of the creative isolation and work procedures that were used, this presentation will highlight the importance of the team approach, which was used to anticipate and address all of the needs of the multiple parties that are part of a modern air traffic control system. The presentation will be an elaboration of the material that was described in a recent article in the R&R magazine
