The case study looks at the investigation of the source(s) of uncharacteristic significant elevated concentrations of tertiary colonizer Chaetomium mold in a building in the southern most Caribbean island of Trinidad, dominated by a hot and humid climate, after the building had been closed for some time when a fire broke out on the floors below. The presentation will summarize the findings of the assessment approaches utilized, as well as review remediation and cleaning works employed to bring indoor bioaerosol concentrations in line with background ambient levels, suitable for re-occupancy.
