This presentation will talk about some case studies on building design and constructions where build it tight and did not ventilate it right had caused sweating/condensation leading to mould growth. We will look at three projects where we see water like droplets in the ceiling cavity or walls from thermal break failure or tightness issue. The misunderstanding by some project leaders who continue to make mistakes because of the lack of understanding in buildings such as with passive house design or ventilation strategy requirements. The case sturdy will include the hypothesis in the undertaking of the investigation, the IAQ strategy plans and the analytical report that support one of the indoor air quality complaints that the occupant smelled “a fishy and fragrant smell”, this continued after mouldy material was removed from this passive house building.
