He will include a discussion about a variety of wood flooring materials and their behavior when exposed to a damp concrete floor such as occurs in a slab on grade home. The presentation will include the response of various types of particle board cabinetry to moisture exposure from both inside and outside a particle board cabinet. Dr. Moon will also include the responses of common building materials to submersion over a 1 to 6 week period to simulate flooding events. Dr. Moon will also touch upon the measured pressures created when solid and composite wood products become wet. The presentation is intended as an advanced course for the passionate learner curious about material behavior.

"}]
